Women Empowerment Month 2022
March 8th marks the celebration of womanhood across the globe. Observing this year’s UN’s theme, let us together claim “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”
Gender inequality, in reality, is very diversified and complex and is present in different ways in different classes and fields. Women’s empowerment has been explicitly recognized over the past decade and it plays a key role in the country’s social and economic development.
From being celebrated as a goddess or mother to falling prey to practices like Sati, dowry, women have come a long way. We have seen women in different roles from being a President to a Prime Minister, from landing in Space to adorning the uniform and protecting the country, from representing the country and winning medals to leaving their families behind and saving lives. Be it any role as a President, Prime Minister, Astronaut, Army, Navy, Sports, Doctors, Lawyers, Corporates or anything women are creating history with their magic and have carved out a path for themselves. Even in this 21st century there still remain several issues that are prevalent even today and need to be addressed to stop forced prostitution, rape, domestic violence, sexual exploitation, eve-teasing, sexual harassment at workplaces, and acid attack.
Helping Brainz celebrates Womanhood and their spirit of selfless service in all its forms every day!
Under our Women Safety and Empowerment project “Chayya” we believe in empowering girls and women to become equal players and build a safe and secured future for themselves.
Helping Brainz shall be distributing one-time meals to the destitute women on March 12th and March 26th, in Delhi and West Bengal respectively.
Helping Brainz’s Healthcare Awareness Team shall be conducting Healthcare Awareness Sessions for girl-children from UP, Maharashtra, Telangana and Jharkhand.
Helping Brainz shall be conducting expert talks on POSH.
Helping Brainz shall be conducting educational and career counselling sessions for the underprivileged girls from UP, Maharashtra, Telangana and Jharkhand.
Helping Brainz’s Women Empowerment Team shall be conducting expert talks on Stress Management.

This pandemic hit everyone including the marginalized and underprivileged, mercilessly however our partners, friends and volunteers came forward to serve the affected people by helping them with food, shelter, medicines and with the travel.
In this regard, we would like to honour you for the noble work you have done for the community. For the same we are hosting an online gathering, to share our gratitude towards all the Changemakers for whatever good you all have done, on this Republic Day.

#167 – 11th Cyber Security and Cyber Crime Awareness Session at PaGE, Ranchi and Hyderabad
Our 167th event for the community
On January 15th and 16th Helping Brainz concluded their 11th Cyber Security and Cyber Crime Awareness Session for 45+ students (girls) from PaGE (Ranchi and Hyderabad).
In the 21st century, security and cyber security has become one of the most important parts of our daily lives, as well as at colleges, universities, schools and other educational institutes across the world. From social networking sites to big retailers, businesses are under constant threat from cyber crimes and cyber attacks. This can lead to all kinds of problems which affect both the company or school and its users and customers.
The advent of the digital age has resulted in major changes in how we function as individuals, communities, and nations. In this interconnected world, there are numerous cyber threats to our safety and security. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that we remain aware of our surroundings to ensure that no one can breach our security or cause us harm in any way through the Internet and other computer-based systems.
PaGE stands for Pathways for Girl’s Education is an excellent initiative by Haasini Sai Sri Gurram. The girls (who were mainly from 11-18 age group) were very much enthusiastic and inquisitive, hence we had one of my best session when it comes to interactive-learnings. Few connected with us offline as well, as they want to learn Cybersecurity. We feel we are very much blessed if we are able to create this inquisitiveness. For the first time, we conducted a two-day session on Cyber Security and Cyber Crime Awareness to increase and balance the interactions and we are glad that it was super successful (we measured that success through the effectiveness check that we do towards the end )

This was Helping Brainz’s 11th Cyber Security and Cyber Crime Awareness event and their 167th project. Shraddha’s team at Helping Brainz is on a national mission to dedicate their Saturdays for Cyber Security Awareness and Cyber Security Career Counselling Sessions.
Haasini Sai (Founder, PaGE), Sneha Harsh (Senior Strategic Development Manager, Helping Brainz), Shraddha Khedkar (Project Manager, National Cyber Security and Legal Awareness Sessions, Helping Brainz), Pooja Kulkarni Vaidya (Head of Branding and Advertising, Helping Brainz), Pallabi Bose (Project Manager, Pandemic and Disaster Management and Special Projects), and other faculty members, spoke and led the event from the front.
