PYD-1 Ghaziabad
Team Helping Brainz’s yet another step towards its endeavour to spread smiles and colours around took place on 3rd May, at Dundahera Gaon. The village which is camouflaged by high rise buildings all around, seems virtual in existence, unless one knows of it.
Helping Brainz Team consisting of four volunteers: Yedhu Krishna Menon, Preeja Nair, Raveen Sharma, Ravi Pengoria reached the venue to find a bustling and enthusiastic crowd of 100 kids, waiting to PAINT THEIR DREAMS !!!
As they were introduced to the theme of the competition, we could see the eagerness building in them, as they were free to paint what their hearts desired!!
Who knew such magic could be put down on a piece of paper with just mere imaginative minds and few pieces of colours. Every child’s painting with a different story to tell as no limitation was put to their thoughts. At the end of the day we were holding 100 paintings, all masterpieces in themselves!!
Every kid was provided with crayons, which were sponsored by Helping Brainz BITians, Meerut.
The event was facilitated by the dynamic members of Crossing Republic Cultural Committee (CRCC) and Abstract4life.
Fathers who father their own children!
By Yedhu Krishna Menon
1AM, My tea cup jerked after being hit by an unconscious-electric stimulus,
Which triggered after reading the most demoniacal traits I’ve ever heard!
It’s all about an aphrodisiac father, who was testing his daughter’s virginity,
Wherein the most shocking fact is that, the girl was just 5 years old.
Gosh! I felt like, I’m hit by a nailed iron-rod on my cerebellum.
An Arabian bullfrog injected his emotions into the immature flesh of his 5 year-old kid ,
After feathering and prickling her soft-skin with cane, bamboo and iron-rods,
Breaking and piercing her vocals, ribs and flesh.Diluting her tears with his poisonous intentions!
The girl, gave rest to her rusted heart after playing hide and seek with ‘death’ for one year,
However, I was just thinking about her innocent heart beats even in that vegetative trauma.
Even my heart stopped pumping blood for a sec, after I completed reading this heinous crime,
I looked into the image in my tea and asked: ‘Even a girl isn’t safe in her home’?
We’re living in an arena wherein a protector becomes an eliminator.
My blood exceeded its boiling point , when I read the next line,
“The culprit easily dusted himself from the court after paying the penalty to her mother”,
I don’t want to make my hands dirty even by writing the meaning of above said sentence.
I‘ve heard that even an eagle can be made to fly above money,
However, I didn’t know, whether money can do this miracle as well!
I being a candle light in a galaxy of stars, working hard to spread light among such berseked brains,
Thought of stopping my noble operations, not because im fed-up,
However, to cement new plans to educate such ‘ill-hearted prosecutors’.
By birth I hold the nationality of “Gods own country”, the most literate state in this Sanskritic country,
However, last year a father marketed his own fresh blood to 200 adulterated Satans!
Illiterate literates of our countries are known for their flabbergasting traits on the womanhood,
Wherein the victim’s list are mostly topped by the ‘Dalit’ or the women from the dark,
If it was laborer’s wife in ancient time, today it’s his own house-maid,Few days back ,
The Hindu reported , a 11 year old young blood being manhandled,
by a gang of beasts who even quoted a price for this trait.
Incidents like this, have become ever ending episodes of Hindi serials,
Wherein the actors of this serial are getting energized and popularized,
By the unreactive and irresponsible lawmakers and the system.
Few weeks back I approached an arena, which recorded the maximum number of atrocities, in recent times,
And I spoke with the authorities, regarding the episodic happenings and repercussions,
However even after knocking their 48 times in 24 hours for the past 3 weeks,
With user friendly resolutions, they are not ready to soften the hardened rock.
If the same authorities are asked to arrange a march in India gate,
They would do it , as it’s a matter of publicity, however ,
Can’t listen and work on positive human friendly resolutions.
Don’t know who exactly said, there is a woman behind every success,
However I was just thinking, do these culprits ever think about women in their own den?
Recently I noticed a small poster on the walls of a MNC in Noida,
It stated that “let’s togetherly light a lamp for Nirbhaya at India gate”,
I guess, rather than shouting slogans and wasting candles at historical monuments,
Let’s be practical in putting a full stop to such periodic ill-fated happenings against our own beings.

Begging boy !
By Radhika Gupta, MIET.
“Our leader, Yedhu always mention in his speech,
everything happens for good , though we!
When I threw my Samsung Phone ,due to anger,
and when its screen disintegreted to pieces,
I just thought of My dad’s red face , due to fear,
however I never thought that this also happened for good 🙂.
I happened to witness an incident ,when I took,
this phone to repair , in a Mobile Shop near Meerut.
As I the force with which I smashed my phone was so high,
the shopkeeper requested more time to repair my phone.
So, meanwhile I just roamed near by shops,
performing Window-shoping , as I was bankrupt.
At the sametime , a small young boy may be 9,
with torn-shirts,and hookless pants approached me,
and begged for a penny.
I being anxious asked him , “what will you do with this money”,
he without any delay answered that, “Didi-roti”!!!!
As I’m unaware of the market standards, asked him,
“Will you get a Roti with a Penny”?
He with a twisted eyebrows , asnwered very diplomatically,
that, “will beg more”.
Well, I never encourage giving money to the beggers,so took this young boy with me and bought some food for him, and conducted some root cause analysis about his family, education etc.. though the neighbours objected , claiming that , he is a begger!
Well, lets unite together to eradicate this social menace by directing the right path to the right!

A Begger’s Birthday Party!
By Yedhu Krishna Menon
Birthday Parties are like rising sun, What about them, whose birthdays are unknown.
Birthday parties doesn’t have any religion, What about them, who doesn’t have a religion.
Birthday parties are often celebrated in big hotels, What about them, who lay on the verandah of hotels.
Birthday parties have a countless no. of dishes, What about them, whose life is found on unwanted pitches
Birthday parties do have a number of candles to blow off, What about them, who doesn’t have any age to count off.
Birthday parties have become a common bladerdashing event, What about them, who enjoy everything under a house of cement.
Birthday parties are enjoyed in every human’s life, What about them, who doesn’t have what is called life, What about them, who die without enjoying them, Thou! Please Pardon Me, if I’ve forgotten, in my enjoyment, any of “them”

Somebody’s Mother
By Mary Dow Brine (1816-1913)
The woman was old and ragged and gray
And bent with the chill of the Winter’s day.
The street was wet with a recent snow
And the woman’s feet were aged and slow.
She stood at the crossing and waited long,
Alone, uncared for, amid the throng
Of human beings who passed her by
Nor heeded the glance of her anxious eyes.
Down the street, with laughter and shout,
Glad in the freedom of “school let out,”
Came the boys like a flock of sheep,
Hailing the snow piled white and deep.
Past the woman so old and gray
Hastened the children on their way.
Nor offered a helping hand to her –
So meek, so timid, afraid to stir
Lest the carriage wheels or the horses’ feet
Should crowd her down in the slippery street.
At last came one of the merry troop,
The gayest laddie of all the group;
He paused beside her and whispered low,
“I’ll help you cross, if you wish to go.”
Her aged hand on his strong young arm
She placed, and so, without hurt or harm,
He guided the trembling feet along,
Proud that his own were firm and strong.
Then back again to his friends he went,
His young heart happy and well content.
“She’s somebody’s mother, boys, you know,
For all she’s aged and poor and slow,
“And I hope some fellow will lend a hand
To help my mother, you understand,
“If ever she’s poor and old and gray,
When her own dear boy is far away.”
And “somebody’s mother” bowed low her head
In her home that night, and the prayer she said
Was “God be kind to the noble boy,
Who is somebody’s son, and pride and joy!”

It’s a new birth
for her it’s a new world
unaware her dadda will murder her
if he finds out its a girl
too ignorant to recall
who brought him to the world
was a beautiful woman
once a beautiful girl
till the acid was thrown on her
face- ruined her beautiful face
now it cant be replaced
his dad’s a disgrace
now he’s gonna do the same
for him a daughter’s a disgrace
what the neighbours gonna say?
he’ll have to live in shame
a boy-he’ll show grace
a girl-he can’t embrace
but he’s not like his dad
he changes his mind
he wipes off the haze
fuck the society’s ways
he’s gonna raise his daughter
he’s gonna show love
he’s gonna show he cares
educate her
generate a
good citizen
one in a million
lil does he know
there are a billion
wolves out on the hunt
patiently awaiting the moment
to jump on their prey
cuz they’re frustrated
they brains contaminated
they feel they waited too long
but for ‘em no one been created
start penetrating the lives
start taking the wives
start taking the lives
escaping the fact they cant get ‘em so they rapin ‘em
once,twice,thrice
people do nothing to stop or minimize
happens in front of they eyes
so many times
this girl she’s no different
so many mines she dodges
so many steps she climbs
outshines ‘em all so many times
and so the day comes when it’ll all decline
it’s her turn she’s not hard to find
she’s taken n raped n she dies
n her father he’s helpless he cries man he’s hurt
feels he should’ve killed her
before she opened her eyes first.

JOB MELA – Rural Recruitment Fair @ Delhi NCR by HCLT Foundations supported by HelpingBrainz. In
By Yedhu Krishna Menon, Founder – Helping Brainz
If you want to develop a city – start from a village (or from a rural area) , this is fact or a soul mantra extracted from the famous philosophical sayings of Gandhiji and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
We at HCL Foundation in our move to develop the country, helped to remove the most highlighting roadblock, that’s ‘unemployment’ by conducting a job fair in the rural area of Delhi NCR with the help of CASP (Community AID and Sponsorship Program by Kesari Newspaper) and HelpingBrainz. In (An Online social responsibility council by EduNeTZ.Infounded by Yedhu Krishna Menon) on 19th July,2013 at Madan Pur Khadar.
The recruitment fair was conducted to hire Technicians, Housekeeping Staffs and Security Personals (Corporate Security Guards). A crowd of about 160+ registered themselves for the recruitment wherein the rural recruitment drive was coordinated by companies like 24 Secure , Home Secure, Air Con , Secure Well and Compass who agreed of hiring professionals from this arena.
HCL and HelpingBrainz. In togetherly helped in the data entry, initial selection process, screening, aligning and shortlisting the employees for the companies which came for recruitment.
Such seasonal recruitment drives will definitely help in touching base with the great problem of unemployment , which is a big rural uncertainty.
Arunima Sharma from HCLT foundation led the event with support from Taruna Tahiliani , Komal Dhama Rathi ( Social Recruiters from HelpingBrainz. In ) , Romi Rathi ( HCL – SEZ126) and a bunch of socially inclined volunteers from CASP.
