Helping Brainz CHANGEMAKERS 2020

On 26th of January every year, Helping Brainz honours the change makers who made a difference by going an extra mile to help the needy, and the underprivileged. The pandemic and the lockdown imposed due to the COVID-19, in 2020 did hit every badly. However there were few, who selflessly made a difference helping the needy. Helping Brainz salutes all the change makers for being the brightest stars.

Murshid Ali Kuttishasan (Delhi)

Actuary, American Multinational Company

We would like to recognize Murshid Ali for his extensive support in terms of fundraising, organizing food supplies to the migrant travelers and the underprivileged from Malappuram, Noida and Panipat thus creating and spreading awareness on the same in the society. He also made his colleagues and friends aware about the need of giving back during the pandemic. Murshid believes that the pandemic has offered him an opportunity to invest his quality downtime in the service of others. Thank you Murshid for your valuable and wholehearted contributions.

Dinesh Kumar Pandey (Noida)

Social Worker and Founder - Humara Kartavy

Dinesh and his NGO Hamara Kartavy, has always stanced himself as a frontline for social causes, be it be child education, animal welfare or grocery distributions . Hamara Kartavy, was Helping Brainz partners for Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and East Delhi when it comes to food and groceries distributions, and for medicine distributions for the age old, underprivileged and the migrants, and has contributed eminently towards the same. We at Helping Brainz take this opportunity to profusely thank and recognize Dinesh for his immense contributions.

Chandrajeet Kumar Gupta (Delhi)

Social Worker and Founder - Jeevan Stambh Foundation

Chandrajeet started volunteering in 2015 and believes in the equality in sharing privileges with the underprivileged. He stands out for his pre-eminent initiatives to help the migrants and the ones in need by organizing and distributing food supplies and essentials at times of hardship amidst the pandemic. Chandrajeet also extended his support in organizing medical aid for pregnant women and children during the emergency. We would like to thank Chandrajeet for his selfless gestures and contributions towards the needy during the pandemic.

Navneet Gabriel Fullinfaw (Bangalore)

In welfare of the underprivileged and extensive social works including accommodating over 350 migrant works from across India, Fullinflaws as an institution and Navneet as a social worker had been very much active in service for the needy. Navneet and his organization had immensely contributed towards offering food and shelter to the migrant workers and had been able to inculcate and spread the essence of the social awareness amongst others as well. We would like to this moment to thank Navneet and his father for their selfless gestures and contributions for the cause.

Challenges brings out the best of our capacity to overcome them. Kanika and her colleagues from WeAreSaath had been of great pivotal assistance in these trying times to the underprivileged and organizations in regards to the legal matters. Kanika along with WeAreSAATH also distributed food, arranged blood plasma, collaborated with the local governments to ensure that marginalized communities are getting the required support and help on time. We would like to immensely thank you for all your efforts put in befitting the interests of the organization.

Sanjay’s dedication and compassion towards the betterment of society was highly visible during the pressing times caused by the pandemic. Being a student, Sanjay ensured that his friends understand the need of giving back to the society and hence he joined hands with like minded individuals and helped migrant travelers by providing safe and secure transport. During the pandemic when whole world was battling with COVID, Tarun set an example by helping the underprivileged. He joined hands with other like minded individuals to pave the way in maintaining the harmony of our society. He was very active in spreading awareness about ill effects of pandemic over less fortunate, worked immensely towards fundraisings for food distributions for the underprivileged from Delhi NCR and Panipat. He also donated and arranged resources to provide food to migrants population as well. We are thankful for your commitment and look forward for future endeavours.

Age is never a measure of potential that an individual carries. Arbaz fits right into it. His compassion towards the travelling migrants and underprivileged was for front visible, when he joined hands in donating groceries in the remotest part of the city. His selflessness while being a ground volunteer (especially while volunteering for marginalized communities from East, Central and West Delhi) for arranging food and donating it to needy, shows us that as a society we can tackle every adversity. During the Lockdown when the whole of India was struggling with pressing issues due to the pandemic, Sarah Kazmi realized the plight of needy. With all transport services shut down, she took matter into her own hands. By providing safe travel to the migrant travelers who were forced to travel on foot for thousands of miles. She also joined hands with like minded individuals in arranging and donating food and shelter for the migrants. She also provided legal assistance to the needy. Her strong will for helping underprivileged inspired us in this battle. Thank you Sarah for your contributions you are truly an inspiration for many.

Jyoti Goyal (Delhi)

In the great need of an hour amidst COVID-19 pandemic lockdown Jyoti took matters into her own hands and served migrant and underprivileged by arranging food for them. She showed her commitment and passion for welfare for most neglected part of our society. Jyoti and her NGO "TOLI The Group" volunteered for food and grocery donations in the South Eastern parts of Delhi NCR, and her NGO provided legal and emotional support to the needy. She was in the front for spreading awareness and collecting donations for the needy. For your continuous efforts we are very thankful, you are not only an asset for any organization but also a key member to our society.

Jitesh Kumar (Delhi)

Social Worker and Founder - Bachpan Bachao Foundation

Jitesh is a renowned and President of India appreciated social worker from Delhi who is mainly into educational empowerment initiatives especially for the underprivileged kids from the South East Delhi's slums. These Slums were badly affected due to the pandemic. People lost jobs, the disease started penetrated in, kids stopped going to the schools, and here is were Jitesh even sold his household stuffs to make a difference and give back to the society. He ensured that nobody is left hungry and no one is left out being educated. Jitesh's NGO is called Bachpan Bachao Foundation, is an organization which has already made a big difference in South East Delhi locations.

Vikash Kumar (Jamui)

Being a founder of an NGO, Vikash knew there is lot to be done during pandemic situation especially when it comes to the rural districts of Bihar. He was in the front at the ground for distributing food, groceries and providing shelter to the less fortunate and was a key member in spreading awareness and collecting funds for providing resource during unfortunate times. Through his NGO Pahal Ek Nai Soch, he started providing free education to more than 350+ underprivileged students from the marginalized communities of Jamui (a rural town in the Southern Bihar), and he strengthened his activities especially during the pandemic so that no one is left out without education.

Bibek Bora (Jorhat)

Pandemic did hit everyone badly, especially when it comes to rural parts of the country because of lack of awareness. There are some exceptional changemakers who made a difference baring all odds. Bibek is an example for the same. He knew the hardships migrants travelling back to the North East and the underprivileged must be facing. So he lead by example and encouraged others to give back. He distributed free masks, medical supplies, arranged funds for food and shelter, and was a key member in assisting migrants for safe their travel to back to North East. His role in spreading awareness is praiseworthy.

Peter Ngamlai (Chennai)

Being a social worker and a socially responsible individual Peter Ngamlai knew that he had pivotal role to play during the pandemic and he did the same with great enthusiasm. He was a key member on ground for Helping Brainz in Chennai who volunteered for providing food, groceries and shelter to the migrants, needy and the underprivileged in various parts of Chennai during COVID-19 lockdown. He also encouraged his fellows to give back to the society and arranged funds and resources for the migrant travelers to travel back to the North East. His compassion and dedication has inspired many to give back to the community.
