HelpingBrainz.Org’s Kurukshetra Chapter will be conducting “Ujjwal – a day with chotus” for the 200+ underpriviledged children from Vatsalya Vaatika – Kurukshetra. HelpingBrainz.Org’s Kurukshetra team discovered that “a saint” running an “Ashram’ near Railway Colony, Kurukshetra wherein he houses and provides free education for 200+ children at Vatsalya Vaatika, who are:-

• – Underpriviledged kids whose parents are daily wage labourers, rag pickers and slum dwellers;
• – Orphans and Abandoned by their parents;
• – Child beggars from Kurukshetra and nearby areas;

What will be HelpingBrainz.Org’s doing: HelpingBrainz.Org’s Kurukshetra team will be conducting “Ujjwal – a day for chotus” – let’s create wonders for them on Saturday, November 21st 2015 at Vatsalya Vaatika, Kurukshetra. The event will consists of:

• – Introductions (11:00 AM)
• – Paint your dreams (11:30 AM)
• – Distributions School Stationary Items (12:00 PM)
• – Music for Charity (12:30 PM)
• – Tree Plantations (12:45 PM)
• – Quiz competitions (1:00 PM)
• – Food Donation (1:30 PM)
• – Prize Distributions (1:45 PM)
• – Old Age home visits. (2:00 PM)

The event will led by Manjeet Kaur (Organizing Committee President/Chapter Leader HelpingBrainz.Org’s Kurukshetra), and team members & volunteers from Delhi. The event will also witness the presence of emeritus professors of Kurukshetra University and NIT Kurukshetra.

After Ujjwal – Continual Improvement Programmes: HelpingBrainz.Org’s Kurukshetra team will be driving non-formal education on the weekends (NFEs), clubbing the activities with voluntary organizations and students from Kurukshetra University, NIT Kurukshetra and other Engineering Colleges of Kurukshetra. NFEs may contain TeachWithHelpingBrainz programmes, weekend teaching programmes, training the children on physical education and sports, art and crafts training etc.
