Do you think we need a day to celebrate ‘the respect we have for our father’\, I completely don’t think so. However for the sake of the day\, that again luckily being a weekend\, we at HelpingBrainz.Org are planning for an old age home visit. A day with the helpless and abandoned grandpas and grandmas on the occasion of the Father’s Day. Thanks to Dr. Renu Verma and Jyoti Suchye (Project Manager\, Elderly Care Projects – HelpingBrainz.Org) for conceptualizing this.\n\n —\nHelping Brainz to show its commitment towards the senior citizens of the country and in its mission to improve the lives of the elderly by providing companionship\, is planning to spend a day with the grandpas and grandmas of Nai Duniya\, East Azad Nagar\, Near Welcome Metro Station on Sunday evening\, 19th June 2016 at 3:30 PM. DESCRIPTION:Chewing tobacco is known to contain at least 28 cancer-causing chemicals\, medically known as carcinogens. The main carcinogens in chewing tobacco are the tobacco-specific nitrosamines (TSNAs). Some of the other cancer-causing agents found in chewing tobacco are formaldehyde\, acetaldehyde\, arsenic\, benzopyrene\, nickel\, and cadmium. Many people mistakenly believed that snus is a safe form of chewing tobacco because it is steam-heated rather than fermented when produced in Norway or Sweden\, causing it to have fewer nitrosamines. However\, snus still contains a number of cancer-causing chemicals. As such\, the United Nations has emphasized the need to mainstream disability in the Organization’s development agenda. Many kids from the rural/underpriviledged areas doesn’t know what to do after 10th/12th\, thus many of them don’t walk on the grounds of empowerment/development\, counselling is of the best technique which can channelize their brains. \nHelping Brainz’s Women Empowerment Team in their process of creating and empowering rural women\, would be conducting an educational counselling at EFRAH\, Samosa Chowk\, Madanpur Khadar\, New Delhi. Helping Brainz would be conducting this event in association with HCLT Foundations\, Noida. This is first step towards the empowerment of the underpriviledged women of Aghapur Village\, Sector-41 Noida. \nThe concept and the process of women empowerment is known as ‘Chayya’ in HelpingBrainz.Org. Whenever we land in a rural area where the women rights are not given much importance\, we start the concept of Chayya ( a process of being a shelter for the needy-women ) by conducting a ChaipeCharcha – Day-1-Informal Discussions : Informal Discussions with the ladies from the rural areas\, which is followed by :- \n\nVanitaSaksharta – Women Education\, Counselling and Training Programmes : Classroom Teaching Programmes :- educating women from the rural India. Classroom trainings on elementary education on every weekends (1.5 hour each)\nVanitaJyoti – Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Programmes  :- Cultivating and Empowering women entrepreneurs\, thereby providing them opportunities to sell and market their ideas\, which also involves\, pickle making\, handicrafts making\, candle making classes (few examples) (2 hours programme once in every month)\nVanitaSuraksha – Women Safety Campaigns\nSahyogSanhita – Legal Aid Camps – Legal education and aid camp for women\, once in a month\, which also involves Discussion on Government policies with Women (2 hours programme once in every month)\nExperience Sharing Congress – A discussion programme wherein a Women Activist\, or an experienced folk talks about her journey towards success (2 hours programme once in every month)\nMonthly Medical Camps – Chikitsa-Shivir – Free medical aid and consultation camp for Women(3 hours programme once in every month)

DESCRIPTION:Helping Brainz to show its commitment towards the senior citizens of the country and in its mission to improve the lives of the elderly by providing companionship\, is planning to spend a day with the grandpas and grandmas of Jeevodaya Ashralaya\, Vikas Puri\, New Delhi on Saturday\, 9th January 2015 at 11:00 AM. There are around 60 age old people staying in Jeevodaya Ashralaya\, Vikas Puri\, New Delhi. \n [ Helping Brainz’s elderly care team led by Jyoti Suchye (a Sr.Software Engineer in Wipro\, Delhi) has been successful in building meaningful relationships with elderly members of the community and broaden their own understanding of various elder-related issues by conducting biweekly visits to retirement homes\, daytime elder-care centers and old age homes. ] \nOver here we are planning:- – To spread the love – To Stretch the wrinkles – To cook and serve – For to conduct music for charity – To do health check-up camps The programmes are scheduled to start at 10:30 AM in the morning.
